On Sunday, October 12, 2025, we at Caffè Ernani will participate in the Monza leg of StraWoman, the non-competitive race dedicated to all women and those who want to run alongside them.
An event that celebrates energy, solidarity, and female freedom—values that have always inspired our coffee roasting business.
For the occasion, we will be present in the café corner inside the StraWoman village, in Viale Cavriga, Monza Park, to let you discover and preview a truly special project:
the new “Caffè delle Donne” Specialty Coffee in compostable paper pods, created in collaboration with IWCA Italia – International Women’s Coffee Alliance.
What is StraWoman and why will we be there too?
StraWoman is a traveling sporting event that has been touring Italy’s major cities for years with a single goal: to promote equality, health, and female awareness through sport and shared well-being.
The Monza stage, scheduled for Sunday, October 12, will see thousands of participants fill the city streets with enthusiasm and smiles.
Caffè Ernani will be present at the event village, open from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with a coffee corner where you can enjoy the new Caffè delle Donne Specialty for free, the first Ernani specialty also available in compostable ESE 44 mm pods.
An opportunity to run, toast, and share a new idea of coffee: more conscious, more sustainable, more human.

This launch marks an important milestone for our roasting business.
For the first time, an Ernani specialty coffee comes in a compostable pod format, for an uncompromisingly high-quality experience that is also environmentally friendly.
Caffè delle Donne was created to celebrate the role of women throughout the coffee supply chain—from producers to processing teams, to the women who select and serve espresso every day with skill and passion.
It is a 100% single-origin Arabica, sourced from the Brazilian farm Nossa Senora Das Graças, then roasted with our classic Ernani medium roast, which enhances the aromatic notes and natural sweetness of the beans without ever burning the finest aromas.
It will then be available for purchase starting Monday 13 October, in the online shop and at Torrefazione Ernani in Milan, Corso Buenos Aires 20.
Together with IWCA Italy to support women in coffee
The project was born in collaboration with IWCA Italia, the national branch of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance, an international non-profit organization that promotes female empowerment throughout the entire coffee supply chain: from plantation to cup.
For years, we at Caffè Ernani have supported IWCA Italia through outreach activities, training projects, and awareness-raising events on issues such as fairness, sustainability, and transparency in the supply chain.
With the “Women’s Café,” this commitment translates into a concrete gesture.
For us, it means giving real value to the word sustainability: not only environmental, but also social and human.
