The For the Planet blend, in collaboration with Gone West, is composed of a higher percentage of Arabica quality coffees, which give interesting aromatic characteristics in the cup:
- Guatemala SHB Huehuetenango, washed
- Santos Cerrado Bom Chocolate Brazilian, natural
- Tanzania Superior, natural robust
- Ivory Coast, brushed robusta
- Congo HTM/N/M Mombasa, natural robusta
The aroma of freshly extracted coffee is warm and inviting. On the palate, notes of ripe fruit such as plums and strawberries are immediately noticeable, giving sweetness. This is then balanced by more intense notes of bitter cocoa, which give a pleasant bitterness. The acidity is fresh and preponderant only in the first few seconds of tasting.
Finally, the robusta quality coffees contained in the blend allow, when extracted in espresso, the structuring of a compact cream with a beautiful hazelnut colour. The body is round and envelops the palate.
The aftertaste mainly highlights notes of cocoa and nuts and is pleasant and persistent.
The For the Planet blend is suitable for you if you are looking for an enveloping coffee, more sweet than bitter, with little acidity. All combined with Gone West’s environmental project: ‘Plant&Protect’.
