Single origins are back in the Milan roastery: introducing La Claudina
In addition to classic blends like Blue Diamond, Allegro and Vivace, from this month, we return to propose two “coffee of the season”. These coffees will vary from time to time but they will always be fine coffees coming from specific farms of specific countries.
For a limited time, we propose two arabica single origin with very different characteristics but equally pleasing, one comes from Colombia and in particular from the Hacienda “La Claudina” and the other is produced by the Finca “La Aurora” in Nicaragua.
Today we introduce you to the “Claudina”.
Where it comes from
This coffee, a dry arabica, is produced by a farm, the Hacienda La Claudina, located close to the town of Bolivar, about 110 km from Medellin. Varieties are Castillo, Catarra and Bourbon. It grows at an altitude between 1,320 and 1,870 meters. The altitude allows the beans to grow more slowly; they are therefore more dense and of higher quality. The coffee is hand picked and processed in the farm.
A fantastic espresso coffee. Light brown color. Light bodied (typical of arabica coffees). No bitterness, intense, immediate and persistent. Perfectly balanced and with a refreshing acidity.
Both floral and fruity with a prevalence of bergamot and blackcurrant notes.
Extracted with the Bialetta moka pot
Pleasant and explosives aromas. Light body, no bitterness and pleasant acidity.
The Claudina awaits you in the Caffè Ernani roastery in Corso Buenos Aires, Milan and cannot wait for you to taken it home with you!
